Parent Volunteers

  • Parents must work at least 2 meets
  • We want all parents to work one HOME meet and one AWAY meet if possible.
  • Must sign-up for specific "job"
    JOBS
  • Clerk of Course - Lines up swimmers for every event – Experience Needed
  • Stroke & Turn Judge - requires class for certification, and experience needed
  • Announcer - Announces the meet and scores
  • Starter - Begins all events - Experience and a class for instruction
  • Number Writers- help write swimmers 10 and unders numbers they are assigned on the sides of their arms, they must be agle to arrive at 4:30 at home meets and 4:45 at away meets.
  • Kid Pusher - Lines up swimmers by sex and age group, 2 parents assign to each age group 10 and under
  • Runner - Runs main event sheets from Clerk of Course to the Recorder to the Scorers  
  • Recorder - records the results of main events only  
  • Ribbon Writer - records main event swimmers on placement ribbons
  • Scorer - Scores the meets from judges results
  • Ribbon Distributor - distributes heat ribbons
  • Timers - Times all events and all heats
  • Judges - decides order of finish in main events, experience need required but appreciated
